Waves are all the rage this summer: here's how to create Beach Waves with ease.
  1. Preparation: before you start styling, it's important that your hair is clean and free of product residue. Wash your hair thoroughly and use a light conditioner to make it supple. Then blow-dry lightly until hair is just damp.
  2. Texturise hair: To give your beach waves extra hold, use a sea salt spray or texturising spray. Spray the product evenly onto damp hair and knead lightly.
  3. Blow-dry: If you want more volume and definition, use a diffuser nozzle on your blow-dryer and gently knead your hair as it dries.
  4. Create curls: Once your hair is dry, you can use a curling iron or straightening iron to create beach waves. Part your hair into sections and work from the bottom up. Take small sections of hair and wrap them around the curling or straightening iron. Leave the ends loose for a more relaxed look.
  5. Loosen the curls: after you've curled every part of your hair, let the curls cool a little. You can then gently loosen the hair with your fingers to enhance the beach wave effect.
  6. Setting and finishing: to make your beach waves last longer, use a lightweight hairspray to set the curls. Spray the hairspray onto the hair from a distance of around 20-30 cm and make sure you distribute it evenly. To add the finishing touch to your look, you can also apply a little shine serum to the ends.
